Our Mission
To empower local church leaders in the emerging nations of the world so mature and reproducing followers of Jesus Christ will result.
To Empower Local Church Leaders
Provide Training. One large missions organization reported recently that up to 95% of church leaders in the emerging nations have no access to biblical training of any kind. Therefore, Good Works NOW (GWN) is committed to serving the frontline, remote leaders who desperately need foundational teaching and personal encouragement.
Demonstrate Mercy. Beyond this, GWN empowers church leaders by helping them accomplish good works projects in their regions of influence. Our desire is to do good works while sharing good news. Jesus made it clear that our light shines through the doing of good works in the context of the world (Matthew 5:16). Paul made it clear that we are created in Christ Jesus to do good works (Ephesians 2:10). These good works allow the world to experience the mercy and grace of God personally so the message of grace is empowered when it is shared.
Partner Strategically. GWN has several unique partnerships where we serve hand in hand with other ministries and organizations to accomplish kingdom objectives. Some of these partnerships allow GWN to be a channel of financial resources and supplies to those doing the hard work of kingdom expansion or serving the least of these.
To Work In The Emerging Nations
Good Works NOW focuses almost exclusively on emerging or third world nations. The leaders of these nations face the greatest challenges and experience the greatest need. Therefore, our primary focus is presently in East Africa, Asia, and Central America.
To Build Strong Churches and Make Mature Christ Followers
Jesus told His apostles that He was on a mission to build the church (Matthew 16:18). His mandate before He ascended into heaven was that His followers focus on making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20). Therefore, the result of all that Good Works NOW does has as its goal to see strong churches built on the foundation of men and women who are maturing as reproducing followers of Jesus Christ. To this end, there is a high priority placed upon church planting and evangelistic initiatives.
