Transformation Projects

Businesses and churches changing the world one village at a time.

The Transformation Project is an ambitious effort on the part of GWN to target one of the most needy areas in northern Kenya. Due to tribal wars, thousands of people have been displaced to the small town of Marigat which is about a five-hour drive north of Nairobi. It is an arid area that struggles to grow food with little water. Having worked in this area for over 15 years, GWN has done numerous projects in a number of villages in order to help alleviate the need.

With this endeavor, we target many spheres of culture in a specific area to manifest God’s kingdom in a practical and tangible way. The question is, “If God were to manifest His kingdom in a region, what would it look like? God’s kingdom corrects what sin and fallen humanity have produced. Therefore, God desires to intervene in every arena of society in order to bring His wisdom, grace, power, and redemption. To this end, we want to be able to physically and tangibly see kingdom fruit in a region where these projects are implemented. Besides addressing water issues by drilling wells, installing tank and gutter systems, or providing water filter kits, we also confront food issues by building green houses, orchards, goat farms, and chicken farms. But physical needs are simply the beginning. We address spiritual needs as well, planting churches, providing bibles, and making sure that the churches in these areas are equipped and resourced to bring God’s kingdom to the local people.

Villages Adopted by Beyond Profit Companies & Local Churches

Amanda, Missions Team Member in Kenya

GWN is now working with companies who want to change the world. These are companies that take part of their profit and use it to help people of great need. This allows these companies to create cultures of good which has numerous benefits- benefits like hiring quality employees, employee retention, work satisfaction, and higher work performance.

Churches have also adopted villages of great need for the purpose of regional transformation. They find that by targeting one place and meeting practical and spiritual needs over time, they see sustainable and exponential results. It also becomes a place where their people can do ongoing mission trips serving ‘the least of these’ and experiencing personal spiritual transformation in the process.

If you’re a company or church and would like to learn more about how you can adopt a village, please click on the ‘contact’ button below, fill out the form, and you be contacted soon. These village transformation projects have proven to be a major win for everyone.
