Our Leadership
Good Works NOW has an active Board of Directors who meet regularly to give governmental oversight to the ministry. This ministry, founded in 2001, is a registered 501 (c) 3 non- profit corporation and, as such, is governed by the laws that govern such entities.
Below you will see a summary of the current board members. This board represents a cross section of ministry leaders and corporate leaders which gives depth not only in the spiritual dimensions of our work, but also in the financial and business side of the ministry.
Ronald (Ron) Hogue
Ron is the president and founder of Good Works NOW. He originally founded Nations Training Institute in 2001, which eventually became the training arm of Good Works NOW. He has been involved in the international training of emerging church leaders since 1994. He has spoken at training conferences and seminars around the world and has printed materials in China, East Africa, West Africa, Southeast Asia, India, and Central America. He has planted and led churches in British Columbia, Canada, California, and Texas. He was a presenter with Team Building USA, a corporate training company out of Dallas Texas. Ron presently is the culture director of Galt Strategies which is a business consulting firm located in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. He also consults churches and church plants in the areas of missions and church structure. Ron received his BA from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and his Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Ron is married to Jaylyne and together, they have three grown children and six grandchildren.
Dr. Andrew Rankin
Andrew writes and teaches extensively for church leaders in developing nations. He desires to equip leaders in developing nations with materials that are biblical, theologically balanced, practical, culturally sensitive, and easy-to-understand. Andrew has a Master of Divinity and Dr. of Philosophy degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served as pastor of Freedom Church in Owasso, Oklahoma since 1996. More recently in 2013, Andrew wrote the book, Do Love- A Love Hack’s Path to Spiritual Maturity. Andrew is married to Laurie where together, they have three adult sons and one grandchild.
Glenn Sparks
Glenn has been a successful business owner, developer and entrepreneur for years after having had a successful athletic career in college. He was a three-time college All-American. He had a brief appearance with the Dallas Cowboys as well. He has had an incredible heart for ”the least of these” around the world and is committed to helping Good Works NOW establish transformation projects in very needy places in the world. He has an earned Masters Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and presently lives in Southern Oregon. He and his wife, Gayla, have nine children and 12 grandchildren.
Jonathan Bingham
Jonathan is an accomplished businessman who has worked in management and sales for Apple Inc. for many years. He is an accomplished photographer having chronicled a Good Works NOW trip to Kenya in 2012. Jonathan has an earned Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He and his wife, Trenna, live with their three daughters in Marietta, Georgia.
Glen Stewart
Glen, now retired, served in the fire service in southern California for many years. He was a part of the faculty of Victor Valley College in Victorville, California. He also was a lead instructor in fire technology teaching yearly in the college’s Fire Academy. Before his teaching career, he served for many years in the fire department of Chino, California retiring with the rank of captain. He has traveled on numerous international mission trips with Good Works NOW and loves to support the work of the ministry around the world. He presently lives in Apple Valley, California with his wife Christine, and has three grown children, and six grandchildren.
